A proper little city with so much to offer
Fredericton really won me over. The St. John River running through the city is just gorgeous, and the walking trails along the banks are so easy and enjoyable. People here are genuinely warm and welcoming. Great place for a relaxed city break.
Loved every bit of the outdoor scene here
The trails around Odell Park are just brilliant - quiet, well-kept, and really pretty especially with the snow still around. It never felt crowded and the air was so fresh. A solid pick if you want nature without being too far from good food and coffee.
Great city for a winter getaway
Came over for a few days in January and really enjoyed it. The downtown area along Queen Street has some lovely little shops and cafes. Very walkable and not overwhelming. The fiddlehead soup I had at a local spot was delicious - definitely try it if you get the chance.
Charming university city with real character
As someone who loves exploring smaller cities, Fredericton ticked a lot of boxes. The Beaverbrook Art Gallery is well worth your time - impressive collection for a city this size. Streets are clean, locals are friendly, and it never feels rushed. Really pleasant all around.
Summer by the river - just brilliant
Spent a few days here in the summer and the riverfront area is just lovely. The Green along the river is perfect for picnics and just switching off. Bumped into a free outdoor concert too which was a bonus. Fredericton is the kind of place that puts you in a good mood.
Lovely spot - more to it than I thought
Came over from the UK not knowing much about Fredericton and left really impressed. The historic garrison district gave the city a real sense of history without feeling like a museum. Food scene is solid too - tried the poutine and it absolutely hit the spot. Glad we made the trip.
